"REACHING THE LOST AND PREACHING TRUTH."
STOP THE INSANITY
One of the Missions and Duties of Christians is to be united in Love and Service. When one Christian hurts other Christians hurt. United we stand and divided we fall is the motto of many. Yet for Christians it should be United we Stand and There is no way you will fall, if I can help it.
Christians are being persecuted through out the world. In third world countries Christians like you and me are being killed for their faith. What are we doing about it? What are you doing about? Unfortunately many people do absolutely nothing. Many people do not Care. If you are a Christian, let me say this again: MANY OF YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST ARE BEING PERSECUTED FOR THEIR FAITH. What are you doing about it?
Now here is the scary thing. Many Christians in the United States and maybe in the town or city you live in are being persecuted. Let me tell you of three instances just in my city. I live in the city of Phoenix.
1) The City of Phoenix filed charges and charged Bishop Rick Painter from Christ Cathedral with a misdemeanor, 10 days in jail and fines for ringing the church bells. These church bells were only 60 decibels loud. That is as loud as a conversation with 2 people. They also threatened 2 other churches First Christian and St. Marks with criminal prosecutions if they were to ring their bells. Of course the Alliance Defense Fund filed a lawsuit against the City of Phoenix. We need to help. Send your donations to the Alliance Defense Fund or to US and it will go to defending and helping these churches fight against this persecution. We can not and will not stand by while our City persecutes and attacks our Brothers and Sisters in Christ. You need to do something about this if you are a Christian. LAST UPDATE CONVICTION WAS THROWN OUT BY THE FEDERAL COURT BECAUSE ORDINANCE WAS TOO VAGUE!!! PRAISE GOD!
2) The City of Phoenix threatened Crossroads United Methodist Church who was preaching on Saturday and then having food afterwards to cease and desist or they will face prosecution. They claimed that this church was not a food service and even thou it was part of their religious exercise they needed to stop until they got the proper permits. What was the City of Phoenix thinking? There was talks about this issues and we do not know what resolved. The only thing we know is that if the City tries anything we need to act and act fast. We want to thank everyone for fighting with us concerning this case. To say the lest this case has been very controversial to all the churches in Phoenix, Arizona. We do know that the city has come up to the conclusion that what Crossroads and other churches are doing on Central is considered a Charity Dining Hall. Despite the fact that many people who attend are not homeless the city feels because there are homeless it is a Charity Dining Hall. Meanwhile we will wait to see where this unfolds from here. LAST UPDATE 1/14/2010 SETTLEMENT CONTINUE BUT GO INSIDE - FOOD MINISTRY HAD MOVED TO DIFFERENT LOCATION.
3) As some of you know I hold a full time job with a national company. I come to my home and worship God and serve Him in my home. I have family and friends over on Sunday Morning and Wednesday Night to worship on my property in a place we gave and dedicated to God. On June 11th, 2009 the City of Phoenix raided my home and charged me with 100 citations for "in short" operating a business without a license or proper permits. When did worship of Jesus Christ required stipulations or requirements, especially on private property? We are currently asking the City to dismiss the charges and are not willing to budge. We are fighting this in court and if we find no resolution we will also file charges in the United States District Court. We will stop this persecution against our God given rights. People should have the right to worship where they want and with whom they want without fear of persecution.
